Our client, a consultancy working across Suffolk, Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire are seeking a Part II Architectural Assistant / Architect to join their expanding team. Our client predominantly works from RIBA Stages 0-4 and are seeking a talented Part II Architectural Assistant to join the team and work on a variety of exciting residential project.

With their work mainly being with various housing associations around Cambridgeshire, Suffolk, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire, they are open to where the successful candidate is from, as long as they are based in and around one of these counties. Due to Covid they have moved away from a centralised office to working from home and see this as part of a long term plan.

Part of their ethos is to build on the opportunity that has been presented by Covid-19 to introduce key changes to their working practices. For example, they believe that commuting is a significant concern (the financial cost for our people, carbon footprint created for environment, the everyday stress) and by embracing the single action of working from home we can immediately and substantially address those negative issues caused by commuting.

This is an exciting opportunity for either a Part II Architectural Assistant / Architect to join a growing constancy. That work on a variety of small - large scale housing developments.

Part II Architectural Assistant / Architect Position Overview

Prepare and present feasible reports and design proposals to clients
Advise on the nature and quality of materials needed
Produce planning details
Produce planning submissions
Work on residential projects from stages 0-4
Resolve any issues or problems that arise during construction

Part II Architectural Assistant / Architect Position Requirements

Relevant Qualification (Masters in Architecture or ARB Registered)
Have working knowledge of UK Building Regulations
Strong written & verbal communication skills
Good knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD and Adobe (advantageous)
New Build residential experience
Good solid stage 3 planning experience (from initial feasibility studies, outline planning, pre-applications, to preparing and submitting full planning applications

Part II Architectural Assistant / Architect Position Remuneration

Competitive salary (£28,000 - £35,000 - Part II £35,000 - £45,000 - Part III DOE)
