My client is a Business Growth Consultancy and they are looking for a Business Development Manager to work on exciting projects within the business. All projects will be B2B and 90% phone based. You will need to have a clear understanding of business and great communication skills. Sales experience is not essential, but an understanding of business and a clear phone manner is needed. Market sectors are varied so you will need to have the ability to switch between different market sectors.
Duties of the Business Development Manager
To build and develop long-term relationships with new and existing customers over the phone.
To identify key decision makers within businesses.
To successfully make appointments for clients to follow through.
To call clients and book meetings for them with key decision makers.
Cold calling clients with a clear proposition.
Key attributes for Business Development Manager
Highly motivated intelligent and professional.
Flexible approach to work.
Excellent command of English and confident in talking to decision makers at all levels of seniority.
5+ years business experience.
IT literate and fast accurate keyboard skills.
Comfortable in taking direction.
Team player.
The work is fast paced and it is key that you have excellent attention to detail. As a Business Development Manager you will be working on a variety of campaigns for different clients throughout your working day so you must have the ability to switch between topics.
This role of the Business Development Manager is 90% phone based.
Fulltime Mon-Fri 9am-5pm
4 weeks holiday plus bank holidays; they are also closed for approx. 10 days over Xmas which does not come out of the 4 weeks
Starting salary for the Business Development manager is £33-35,000 plus generous target based bonus scheme
