A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join a well-established and growing Engineering Consultancy firm based on the outskirts of Bath. Xpedite Group of Companies are seeking a Technology Delivery Lead to join our rapidly expanding team. We are seeking applicants for Bath, UK.

Primarily, this will involve the delivery of Xpedite's digital framework whilst providing digital development services. The Digital Technology Lead will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, alongside a friendly and talented bunch group of enthusiastic developers within our innovations department.

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who wishes to be at the forefront of developing Xpedite's digital and technological understanding.

Salary for this position is negotiable and dependent on experience.

Essential Requirements for the role

  • Fluent in written communications and able to articulate complex issues - create and maintain documentation relevant to internal developed systems.
  • Ability to take on board technical information and instruction allowing for completion of higher technical activities.
  • Experience in programming languages such as Java, C , Python.
  • Understanding of Software development processes and practices.
  • Able to conduct effective research, using literature and other media, into IT and business-related topics.
  • Applies analytical and critical thinking skills to Technology Solutions development and to systematically analyse and apply structured problem-solving techniques to complex systems and situations.
  • Organised, thorough and structured in their approach to work, being confident and committed to the role at all times.
  • Have a professional demeanour and apply discretion at all times.
  • Excellent eye for detail.
  • Confident using Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to delegate and manage tasking effectively.
  • Accurate and Methodical.
  • Exceptional organisational and time keeping skills.
  • Ability to prioritise workload.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Capable of using own initiative.

Role Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • To learn and develop whilst owning the delivery of the digital framework.
  • Maintaining the ethos and reputation of the organisation.
  • Supporting customers in a comprehensive and professional manner.
  • Maintaining and enhancing digital, data and technical knowledge.
  • You may be required to provide support to different project areas.
  • Writing and testing code in order to develop scalable and robust solutions, which meet the high performance and availability standards of global financial institution.
  • Investigation of problems and determining the best solution.
  • Support on-going development and maintenance of companies in-house design system.
  • Support development of company's solutions.
  • Collaborating with other developers and other departments.

Technical Support

  • Support in the generation of business processes and policies.
  • Assisting with any validation and approval processes.
  • Responsible for compiling technical reports.
  • Conducting tasking in an efficient manner.

Customer Support

  • Able to manage and meet customer expectation.
  • Able to conduct business in an ethical and professional manner.
  • Possessing the analytical knowledge to allow the effective resolution of queries (alternatively identifying the appropriate channels to gain required knowledge).

Key Skills Required

  • Experience in programming languages such as Java, C , Python.
