Service Delivery Manager - Manchester

IT Service Delivery Manager with the experience of managing and owning an end-user service desk is required by a leading company based in Manchester. You must have experience of driving the best service in the past, be proactive in making sure the end-user IT service is first class, and have a passion for service delivery.

The role would have a mix of working from home but also working from the Manchester office when the projects dictate

Skills required:

  • Experience in a Service Delivery Manager role from an end-user perspective
  • The ability to drive the best Service and have a passion for IT technology
  • The ability to identify process improvement and areas that are inefficient or need upgrading
  • Cloud & remote technology experience
  • Knowledge of end-user IT technologies such as Office 365, Cloud, SharePoint, video technology, etc
  • Experience of being part of the Major Incident Management team, owning the incident management resolution process during a major incident, until the restoration of the service.
  • Experienced leader of people and the ability to influence other stakeholders to get buy-in
  • ITIL experience would be a bonus

The role is due to massive growth and changing IT landscape. You need to know what looks good running an IT Service Desk. The three key areas of the role are:

Collaboration Technology

  • Own the end-user collaboration technology stack, and deliver your vision of what a good end-user collaboration toolset and solution should look like.

Technical

  • You will work with the end-user to understand their needs and use your resourcefulness to enable you to identify the appropriate technical solution. What upgrades are coming up across the MS365 suite? Can Teams, Slack, SharePoint, etc be utilised better? Is the Desktop capability at the level it needs to be? Are there new features you should be looking at

Performance & Quality

  • Are performance and the quality of the end-user support at the level it needs to be? You will act as an ambassador for IT, working across all of the departments to provide effective communication on IT matters. This will be through building great working relationships throughout other IT and technology departments and be able to influence others to get to your goal.

My client is looking to pay a salary of around £50,000 - £55,000 + Homeworking. There could be some flex on this though.
