Job title: Deputy Care Manager Location: Countesthorpe (LE8) Salary: £22,000 to £26,000 per annum Our client, a 40 bed residential care home based in Leicester currently has a great opportunity for a Deputy Care Manager to join their existing team. This involves working flexible shifts and alternate weekends They are looking for an individual who is passionate about providing the highest quality service, has a positive approach to work, and who wants to work within a professional organisation. Responsibilities: Ensure the business is legally and ethically compliant Manage and motivate the team, including care workers, to meet customer’s care needs Ensure healthcare workers provide the required quality standards determined by the company Organise team meetings Ensure compliance with regulatory requirement Carry out staff reviews and appraisals within the required time frames Build a good rapport with customers and staff to ensure high quality service delivery Effectively and confidentially managing data and information Providing exceptional customer care; undertaking relevant risk assessments Ensuring there are safe working environments for staff, investigating any accidents and complaints using process Updating the care plans Responsible for the legal and ethical running of the day-to-day business. Understand and work within regulator legislation, standards and regulations Keep full and accurate records in accordance with legal requirements Undertaking and monitoring of all appropriate assessments relating to new customers To undertake/facilitate reviews of customers’ needs/requirements in accordance with guidelines Liaise with other health professionals as appropriate Planning and implementing supervisions and appraisals in accordance with guidelines To deliver/facilitate all necessary development requirements in accordance with the needs of the service To understand and monitor health and safety in the workplace and in the field Ultimate responsibility for all staff. To ensure implementation, execution and management of quality control systems. Implementation and management of complaints procedure. Achievement of sales targets and delivery within budgets. To work within agreed budgets to ensure profitability of business. Take on-call duties as part of a team on a rota basis. Ensuring all emergency on-call issues are dealt with effectively e.g. covering calls either directly or indirectly when care workers are sick or absent. Recording all emergency calls and passing the information to appropriate parties.
