We are a leading UK Trade Association, with the sector and Members we serve not only being busy and expanding, but forecast for sustained growth for the foreseeable future.

Can your experience as an exceptional economic Analyst help our Members make better decisions, influence high profile public policies, as well as our work helping you to develop your experience and skills further?

The role forms an essential part of a small team of economists and policy experts providing rigorous and high-quality analysis. Supported by, and reporting to, our Director of Economic Affairs, you will be producing these insightful analyses of the UK macroeconomy and industry markets for the benefit of our Members and wider industry stakeholders. This output is in the form of written Briefings and Reports, as well as in person and online presentations for Members and other external audiences, often as a senior level.

What are we looking for in a role that will help you develop and build considerably on your existing expertise?

  • A University Degree in Economics, Statistics or a related subject, plus existing workplace experience in a relevant role.
  • Proven skills in Macroeconomics.
  • The ability to identify and interpret statistical trends and relationships, and the ability to present analysis and findings to a non-technical audience in an engaging way with enthusiasm and competence.
  • Knowledge of STATA or a similar statistical package with the enthusiasm to learn and cross-train on STATA rapidly.

Finally, it is what we are looking for, but hopefully also a point of attraction for you and your working style: you have confidence in managing multiple and simultaneous projects, and enjoy working in a collaborative and co-operative style with colleagues from different disciplines. You also enjoy being a self-starter who can manage personal workload independently.

We are happy to consider partial remote working, as in the heading, although collaborating with colleagues and Members visiting us at our London office is also important.

Our team and environment is proven for personal and professional development: if all the above sounds like you, then we'd love to hear from you.
