Would you like to finish work each day knowing that you have made a difference? It's not just a job, it's a life experience. Join us and help us change lives.

Are you Caring? Are you Trustworthy? Are you Inclusive? Are you Challenging? Are you Positive? If you feel you are all of these things come and join our team in Northampton. We are a great team of passionate support workers providing support and independence to 6 adults with a learning disability. We are looking to add to our friendly, vibrant energetic and fun loving team of dedicated support workers. We have various hours available to offer to the successful candidates.

Although all support required is different to each individual, the type of support you will provide would be around administering medication, helping with personal care, and offering them support to live independent and happy lives. Being a Support Worker means that you also get to create some fantastic memories and take part in the fun! Having fun with the individuals could be anything from watching films, going shopping, attending parties or even going volunteering.

Have a look at the additional information attached created by the people we support; this will give you an idea of what the people we support want from you.

Supporting someone with their daily life is not a 9-5 job. You will need to be able to work across a range of different days and shift patterns, including some sleep in shifts. We realise that your quality time is important too, so your rota is prepared well in advance – Got a request, something special going on? Your manager will certainly try to help you meet it.

One of the most amazing things about being a Support Worker is that anyone can do it! As long as you have a positive attitude and want to improve the lives of those with a learning disability, we will support you with progression opportunities throughout your career with us.

If you would like to help support these outgoing and sociable people, who have a wonderfully full and active life, please apply and tell us why you would be a fantastic addition to the team. We include the people that you will support during all of our selection process and we take a person centred approach to recruitment.

An enhanced DBS will be required for each successful candidate (Paid for by Mencap, T&Cs apply)

Interviews will be held at our Area Office in Kettering.
