The Delivery Manager (DM) is responsible for maintaining the delivery and roll out of Better Together Projects, managing the day to day runnings of the dedicated Project team and supporting the wider Transformation team. This person will be a core interface to the business and ensure that business readiness and plans are kept on track and that projects are successfully rolled out to those in scope.The DM will be responsible for executing plans and ensuring that development, training materials and business roll out are produced successfully.This person will be an excellent leader with experience in managing staff of different disciplines to produce results in a timely manner and be able to engage with people at all levels to ensure success.Responsible for the management of business change projects;Execute project plans and deliver roll outs timely;Help define project scope, goals and deliverables;Define tasks and required resources;To highlight risks and issues as they develop on the projects; Ensuring core deliverables from the plans are delivered;Execute rapid escalation where deadlines and deliverables are jeopardised;Provide ad-hoc issue resolution and problem solving; Create and maintain strong relationships with internal and external clients if applicable;Representing Mitie’s best interest and embedding Mitie culture through all processes;Responsible for developing processes and ways of working to achieve project objectives;Implement and manage change when necessary to meet project outputs;Create robust comms channels with key stakeholders, ensuring expectations are effectively managed;Interface with key stakeholders across the Mitie business and Transformation Programme at all levels and have credibility at Director level discussions;Making sure quality standards are met;Responsible for training materials inline with projects and business units, understanding target area;Evaluating the success of the project against its bench marking and sharing lessons or best practice with other projects in Transformation (ES & Group);Presenting updates, results and actions at varying SteerCo levels with clear ownership of accountabilities and escalations as required.Qualifications
Project delivery experience and can be working towards a formal qualification in PM techniques but not a requirement;Experience within Technical FM business is desirable;Management level of analytical, investigative and problem solving skills;Effectively multi-task and impeccable organisation skills with a keen eye for detail;Excellent man management and motivational skills; both written and verbal;Able to communicate effectively and present at all organisational levels;Knowledge and experience in regards to business administration and work management systems such as MiAMI (Maximo) CAFM or similar, supporting a range of clients and stakeholders;Self-motivated team player able to work on own initiative whilst interfacing with senior management, operational teams and client contact points;Expert level in core Microsoft office IT Skills (Excel, Word & Power Point);Willingness and ability to travel as part of the role.
