A great opportunity for a Lead Asbestos Surveyor to join a wellestablished, highly professional and growing consultancy based in London.
The Lead Asbestos Surveyor will join a thriving multidisciplinary consultancy, providing services such as Asbestos Consultancy and Risk Management, Health & Safety, Principle and CDM Designers, Surveying, and Fire Safety and Engineering.
The business is growing, and the company continue to embark on projects across a variety of sectors such as commercial refurbishments, retail, office, medical and large scale residential.
This is a new role, as the company are successful and are expanding to meet these needs.
The Lead Asbestos Surveyor will report to the Contracts Manager and carry out UKAS accredited surveys, including assisting project managers in compiling quotations, specifications and risk assessments for commercial refurbishments and demolitions. Some of the role will be office based, compiling asbestos survey reports and sending samples for analysis. The role requires being on site 34 days each week.
A level of project management will be required in planning and undertaking site works, including organising equipment delivery and collection, compiling and completing risk assessments for site work, and mentoring team members undertaking asbestos inspections.
The successful Lead Asbestos Surveyor will be able to demonstrate experience relevant experience and will:
Have at least 3 years of experience in asbestos surveying of refurbishments and demolitions Have relevant qualifications including P402 or RSPH Certificate in Asbestos Surveying GCSE C and above (or equivalent) in English Language and Mathematics Clean driving license Good computer skills and knowledge of MS Office Suite Good project management skills UKAS Accredited
Projects are situated across London and the South East.
It is desirable if the Lead Asbestos Surveyor has:
PASMA Confined space and working at heights Health and Safety qualifications SSSTS CSCS card P404 and P405 Clearance of asbestos
The Lead Asbestos Surveyor will benefit from:
£25,000 £35,000 depending on experience Vehicle and all fuel paid Excellent training and development Pension Overtime pay 20 days holiday and bank holidays, increasing with years of service up to 25 days
