Voyage Care is seeking Bank Support Workers, to assist People we Support with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Learning Disabilities and Epilepsy, at a Residential Service in Charminster.

Joining an established and experienced team: Bank Support Workers will assist the People we Support in all aspects of their life that they need assistance. Support may include (but not be limited to):

  • Helping with hobbies and other interests
  • Personal Care
  • Medication Administration
  • Accessing the community
  • Managing their epilepsy
  • Assisting with financial matters

  • Previous experience in health or social care is desirable but not essential as Voyage Care provide full training to all Bank Support Workers.

  • Experience of working with individuals Epilepsy and a knowledge of PEG would also be an advantage.

  • Due to the location of this service it is helpful that Bank Support Workers hold a full driving license. Bank Support Workers who can drive will also have the opportunity to drive the service vehicle to assist the People we Support in the community*.

  • Bank Support Workers will be offered a mixture of early, late, long day, waking night and sleep in shifts.

  • Please note that Bank Support Workers may be offered weekend work and shifts on public holidays.

  • Voyage Care ask that all Bank Support Workers:

  • Work within the companys ethos of providing person centred care

  • Are compassionate and understanding

  • Are reliable and conscientious

  • Work at least one shift every three months

  • Are flexible as to when they can work

  • Have a good understanding of written and spoken English and basic Mathematics
