Care Assistant - Days Holmers House Residential Home High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire Salary: £16,663 - £17,257 Hours: Part time/Full time hours are available Our client is a charitable organisation that has purpose built care home and has specially designed accommodation for our Clients living with dementia. We have 48 en-suite rooms, divided between its three self-contained units, each of which has its own living room and dining room. All three units have access to the home's wheelchair accessible, landscaped gardens. Residents are supported by the staff to live as independently as their health conditions will allow and care is personalised to meet each person's level of need. Our staff team have built a warm and welcoming enviroment for residents and have all been trained by the Alzheimers' Society to support people with varying levels of need. We have a non-uniform policy at Holmers House where we like our staff to be able to express themselves and show off their own unique personality. This in turn allows our Clients to feel more comfortable around our staff allowing our Clients to feel relaxed, happy and comforted every day. Our team are able to support residents to live as independent a life as any health condition will allow. Our ideal candidate will have: - Experience of supporting adults in a care setting or in the community although we are keen to hear from people who are new to care and looking for a rewarding career. - Empathy, kind hearted and a great team player. - An awareness and understanding of high quality home care. - Good communication skills, patience and flexibility. - An understanding of safeguarding and person-centred support. - A flexible working pattern and able to do shift patterns including working alternate weekends. Shift patterns will include: 7am-2.30pm & 2pm-9.30pm Experience is desirable, however, is not essential, as we offer full training for all of our Support Staff.
