We are currently looking for an Associate Specialist in Psychiatry join an existing team in a Nottinghamshire based Substance Misuse service. The post holder will play a key part in ensuring that service users consistently receive high quality services, that adhere to the best practice guidelines. Their recruitment processes always work to the principles of fairness and equality of opportunity. ### Requirements - Medical Degree and completion of basic medical training - Full GMC - UK registration with License to Practice - Completed Basic Specialist Training/ Core Training in Psychiatry - Over 3 years experience working in substance misuse as a specialty Doctor - Ability to work independently with minimal consultant supervision - Experience of working as part of a larger multi-disciplinary team - Knowledge of addiction psychiatry including management of opioid substitution prescribing - MRCPsych or equivalent post grad qualification in psychiatry The post-holder will be required to work flexibly across a number
of operational sites as required, within an agreed
number of hours to maintain the most appropriate level of service
provision. This will include some evening and weekend working as
determined by service user need. You will be required to offer
clinical supervision to non-medical prescribers in the service.
The post-holder will be expected to take responsibility for personal
development, identifying personal training needs and participate in
regular supervision, appraisal. They are required to engage fully in
the process for revalidation.
