Postgraduate Admissions and Enquiries Officer
Reference: A3920Description: The Student Recruitment and Admissions department is a dynamic, thriving and crucial area of the University dealing with a range of applications during periods of high intensity. A proactive and enthusiastic individual is required to join the team with responsibility for Postgraduate admissions and all enquiries coming in to the department.
Under the direction of the relevant Admissions Team Leader and as a member of the team, you will contribute to the delivery of a customer focused, cost effective and efficient admissions & enquiries service, considering and making decisions on applications in line with policies and requirements. You will respond to enquiries assisting potential students and those who influence them in making a well-informed choice of university and programme. You will develop and maintain a defined area of expertise in relation to enquiries and applications while also developing and maintaining a breadth of skill to support flexible deployment as required. You will also liaise with staff in faculties and other parts of the University in relation to applications.
This post is within a small team with a diverse range of responsibilities including database work, assessing applications, liaising with staff and applicants as well as developing new ways of working to constantly improve the service and improve efficiency. You will need to be flexible, willing to engage with the work and capable of prioritising and organising their workload effectively.
It is essential that you have good IT skills, excellent communication skills, experience of working within an office environment and attention to detail. An understanding of or experience in University admissions processes would also be desirable.

This is a permanent, full-time position working 37 hours per week.
