Job Description

Virtual Clarity requires short term help to manage the consumption of leading-edge cloud IT services in a social and dynamic global company. You will support internal staff and delivery of managed to services to customer projects.

You will work independently, reporting to the Head of IT in the UK. As part of a small team your work will have real impact. Workload will range in complexity and size but center largely around providing SaaS service and desktop support. You will sometimes work early mornings or late nights as necessary to implement change outside of production hours or interact with the rest of the company in other countries. You will be based in Pittsburgh or New York and can work remotely 1-2 days/per week but you may need to occasionally travel in the continental US and to the UK.

The job is a temporary contract to cover part of a more advanced role being vacated. There is an opportunity for a suitably qualified candidate to become a permanent member of staff covering the fuller role.

Your Traits

You are driven, enthusiastic, self-disciplined and driven to achieve. You have a keen interest in technology and you are always willing to learn about new things. You have previous IT administration and support experience. You have excellent written English.

Responsibilities

  • IT support ranging from fixing issues to on-boarding new staff
  • Security and entitlement testing and auditing
  • Document creation and improvement

Technical Skills

  • Windows, MacOS, and Linux desktop support
  • Windows and Linux server administration a bonus
  • AWS experience a bonus
  • An understanding of IP networking basics
