SHEQ Manager: Water Utilities Salary/Package - £35,000- £45,000 (dependent on experience level) Location: EssexAlecto recruitment are currently working with an established civil engineering and utilities company, who are looking for an experienced SHEQ for their Essex depot. This will be to manage their health & Safety processes, as well as key involvement in the continuation of their accreditations Purpose of JobTo manage and lead improving the Group's HSEQ performance.To manage the planning, development and implementation of the HSE & Q strategy.Working with other Senior Managers to ensure that the HSE & Q procedures are developed.To ensure a high level of compliance with the Groups HSE & Q policies, processes and proceduresGive organisational health, safety, environmental and quality management advice AccountabilityThe post holder will report directly to the Directors Main Duties and ResponsibilitiesUphold, safeguard and promote the Company's values and vision relating particularly to ethics, integrity and corporate responsibility.Enforce the policies, procedures and systems to provide for a safe, secure and quality business operationLead, drive and improve the Company'sl HSE & Q reputationApply the overall Company's standards and guidelines on HSE & QEnsure a high level of HSE & Q performance through regular audits and identify areas for improvement and ensure that appropriate corrective and preventative actions are identified and managed to completion.The review and redesign of business processes and procedures to improve performance and deliver continual improvementWorking with Senior Managers to identify specific business needs and to develop solutions and business processes to meet these requirements.Ensuring and monitoring compliance with national and international standards, legislation and client driven systems.Coordinate and where necessary lead any accident/incident investigation and reporting.Recruit and manage the HSE & Q team ensuring due processes are followed throughout.Take an active role in business development, pre-qual and bid submissions and general promotion of the Company.Communicate clearly, consistently and in a timely manner with Clients and Company colleagues. Professional ExperienceExperience of working within a national team of managers.relevant experience in an HSE role.
