**The position is based in Hanover / Germany, but can also be managed remotley from another city in Germany or from one of our EU / UK locations.*

As Head of the Sub-Domain Special Integrations (being part of the Domain "Hotel Sourcing") your responsibility is to ensure - closely aligned with our business stakeholders - optimal support for the sourcing and booking of hotels worldwide and therefore making our accommodations available globally for TUI. You are accountable for the planning, development and the operation of our DestiLink product and two separate teams ("DestiLink Data Provider" and "DestiLink Reservation Handling"), a set of systems and services connecting TRIPS with bedbanks and channel managers. These services are Group solutions for all TUI Source Markets. Together with Product Owners / Technology Leads you are steering agile Scrum teams, consisting of internal and external developers, architects and business analysts. You ensure the proper flow of processes as well as the incremental delivery of capabilities based on business requirements and priorities. You are driving the digital transformation of TUI with development and operation of an integrated accommodation sourcing approach for TUI closely cooperating with the other Sub-Domains within Hotel Sourcing.


  • Creation of a product vision for the tasks and respective systems as well as definition of the strategic IT roadmap factoring in the related/connected systems and environments within TUI
  • Design of efficient, innovative and sustainable IT solutions supporting the Group strategy and removal of potential flaws in existing systems
  • Detailed market observation regarding relevant touristic IT products and processes
  • Regional and international stakeholder management especially in the areas of Purchasing, Product Management, Sales, Customer, Analytics/BI and Backoffice Functions
  • Active Cooperation with and consulting of business partners, IT functions and partners/suppliers in order to continuously improve the IT portfolio
  • Accountable for architecture, technical concepts and design regarding all - functional and non-functional - requirements
  • Ensure target-oriented IT specifications and acceptance criteria as well as execution of proper tests for quality assurance, including continuous improvement of automated tests in alignment with our agile development methods
  • Accountable for the successful delivery, implementation and transition of the IT solutions into production. Responsible for the 3rd level support of the IT products
  • Steering and management of cross-tour-operator and cross-source-market projects, including necessary recharging models
  • Accountable for planning and management of staff costs, other OPEX and CAPEX for the sub-domain
  • Personnel management and development of employees and teams allocated to the sub-domain
  • Negotiating with contractors, recruitment of temporary external resources and ensuring the onboarding and integration in the existing teams


  • University degree in Technology, Business Economics or Tourism
  • Several years of relevant experience in the Hotel- or Touroperator-Business and understanding of touristic core processes
  • Several years of experience in the area of Software Development, very good knowledge of agile methods
  • Detailed knowledge regarding ICT
  • Extensive analytic skills regarding complex environments and situations as well as the ability to do conceptual work
  • Knowledge of TUI's production and reservation systems
  • Several years of leadership experience in teams with more than 20 people, equipped with extensive social competence, a give-and-take attitude and the ability to manage conflicts
  • Motivation of team members and supporting the teams to self-organize and act responsibly and efficiently in order to be successful together
  • Willingness and ability to foster an agile and error-tolerant culture (fail fast - learn quickly)
  • Experience in working in a complex international and multi-cultural environment
  • Business-fluent in German and English
  • Presentation and moderation skills, ability to motivate others
  • Self-assured behaviour when negotiating with external and internal partners in German and English
  • Openness, transparency, resilience, assertiveness and decisiveness
  • Highly autonomous, structured, reliable and solution-oriented method of working in connection with high quality awareness
  • Flexibility, high motivation, and extraordinary dedication
  • Knowledge of economic links and dependencies, experience in budget planning and management
