Senior Social Media Marketing Manager (FTC 12-18 Months)
We are looking for a passionate Social Media expert to lead our Social Media content strategy. Joining at an exciting time as the importance of social continues to grow, the aim of this role is to build and strengthen our brand identity across social channels.
The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic, proactive and agile senior Social Media expert, who is keen to drive the social media agenda and innovation in a fast-paced, quality focused retail environment. Having the breadth from strategy to implementation, this role will work with our internal and external teams including in-house social artworker, digital and media teams, PR, as well as leading our Social Media agency.
What you'll do
Leading the social customer facing agenda at LidlGB, working with our agencies and internal stakeholders as the main point of contact for all social channels and influencers.
Managing the strategy and content across existing channels (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube), influencers / community, as well as driving innovation on new social channels.
Leading, liaising with all relevant stakeholders and collaborating with the wider marketing team to deliver strategic objectives via social channels.
Working closely with the Media team on buying, planning and optimization of spend in-line with campaign content and wider media buying objectives.
Actively maintaining contacts and relationships with Social Media owners and tools.
Leading and managing our social agency and ensuring the other agencies are informed and working towards the same aim with social front of mind.
Developing and maintaining effective working relationships with internal stakeholders such as Corporate Comms, Marketing, Purchasing, Supply Chain, and representing social in senior meetings up to Board level and working with our international Social Media teams.
Proposing and implementing effective monitoring, reporting and a performance management system for national communication campaigns and reporting our effectiveness in social and marketing.
Developing and implementing social media communications and campaigns using the national and international campaign planning tools. Adhering to the brand guidelines to ensure our brand reputation is protected across all our executions.
Responsibility for compliance with all legislation (. GDPR, e-privacy, ASA, Communications Act)
What you'll need
Social media experience is essential and within a retail environment is preferred.
Agency experience is desirable.
Excellent communicator, who is able to communicate confidently with people across all levels of the business.
The ability to work well with others whilst forming and articulating your own views and opinions.
An innovative, adaptable self-starter who works well independently and within a team.
Highly organised with excellent attention for detail.
The ability to multi-task and handle conflicting deadlines.
Degree-level education in any discipline.
German language is beneficial.
Understanding of wider digital channels and ability to read media plans is beneficial.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
