Up to £37,000 plus bonus, pension and 25 days holiday

Job Description of a Human Resources Manager

Absence Management, working with Occupational Health and Health & Safety Manager and providing advice/support on individual absence cases (whilst adhering to legislation) in order to sustain a good level of absenteeism for the site.

Providing a responsive Recruitment and Selection service for permanent and temporary positions. Conduct Inductions, Probations and Exit Interviews.

Implementation of HR Policies and Procedures, providing support and guidance to managers on HR Policies and Procedures as well as Employee Relations matters in line with legislation and corporate HR guidelines.

Leading or providing support and assistance on Disciplinary and Grievance matters as well as leading more complex cases.

Ensuring the delivery of effective Communication to manage employee relations

Assisting or deploying HR projects (Change Management Programmes and Restructure)

Deliver Training to employees and managers to ensure compliance with HR Policies and Procedures, as well as an awareness of HR legislation in the workplace.

Focussed Performance Management systems and improvements to develop and enhance business performance.

Support progressive and responsive Health, Safety and Welfare practices

Skills & experience of a Human Resources Manager

CIPD (Member status - or working towards - of Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development) Higher Education qualification in HR or Business Studies

Experience

Leadership/Supervisory role within a HR function working directly with a Business Management team Experience of working within a manufacturing environment, good operational generalist experience and experience of working with Trade Unions Comfortable in a fast-moving, deadline driven environment requiring a mix of Administrative and Strategic outputs. Good Employment Law Knowledge and able to source definitive information Absence Management Employee Relations MS Office for efficient Scheduling, Report Writing, generation of clear and concise documentation and data
