Business Development Manager - Healthcare
Permanent (Full time)
Hoop Professional Services are working with a client in Cardiff who are looking for a Business Development Manager, specifically for the Healthcare sector.
Key duties include:
Acting as the key point of contact for referrals in to hospitals and residential homes
Manage external relationships with key stakeholders such as Commissioners within NHS England and NHS Wales, Brokerage Teams from local authorities, Bed Managers, Social Workers, Discharge Coordinators etc.
Manage internal relationships with key stakeholders such as Doctors, Service Directors, Nurses, Medical Secretaries, Area Managers, Board members
Proactively develop new relationships across health boards and local authorities to maintain steady stream of referrals
Manage the referral process from initial contact from referrer through to placement into services
Represent the company at external events and identify industry-specific events to attend
Work closely with marketing to ensure that all marketing efforts are all ‘on brand
Regular reporting of prospects and the status of referrals to Board Level and attendance at weekly sales meeting
Collaborate with Senior Clinical and Leadership teams within hospitals to help identify areas for service development
Identify not-for-profits and professional bodies with which to partner to add value to our services
Regular prospecting via phone, email, and in-person to promote vacancies and encourage referrals
Arrange meetings for commissioners/referrers to come onto site and view our services
Meeting pre-agreed occupancy targets for your services
Maintain accurate records on in-house database
Create, develop, and execute sales and business development strategy for your services to ensure that you hit occupancy targets Ideal experience:
Minimum of 5 years of business development experience preferably within a healthcare setting. Experience within Mental Health/NHS would be advantageous although not essential
Preferably educated to Degree-level
Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
Ability to multitask and work on multiple projects
Proficient across MS Office
Able to work independently
