I am currently seeking an experienced Project Manager to join a professional services organisation based in central Leeds. This is a busy role where you will be working across the firm as a Project Manager, the role is to provide discipline and support on projects and initiatives throughout the organisation. Critical projects will have a Project Sponsor who the Project Manager will work closely with.
This is an exciting role with an array of projects from strategic, governance, frameworks and systems implementation. You will be the sort of person who is happy to get stuck in where needed but bring expertise in managing stakeholders, project scoping and great communication skills.
To develop and lead on the planning, organisation and embedding of project methods
To support internal working parties with projects
To represent the firm when dealing with external suppliers and contractors
To create and manage project documentation, as required by each project
To carry out risk assessments and controls for the project
To track project performance, including the budget and predicted costs
To monitor project progress and report any potential issues (planned progress against actual progress).
To devise the project report, and report regularly to the Partners or Senior Managers
To act as the central contact point for all participants of a project and provide project management clarity
To evaluate project success at all stages and post project, identify and share lessons learnt
To utilise knowledge and expertise in Project Management for the benefit of the firm.
Have the vision to anticipate internal or external challenges or regulatory issues and recommend process or service improvements
Tailor approach dependent on the teams you are working alongside with the ability to work closely with Project Sponsor to maintain a programme of work
Facilitate planning session across teams and provide itemised actions
Build and sustain effective communication channels with all the stakeholders
Identify, manage and mitigate project risks, including the development of contingency plans - Contingency plans varying in format dependent on project team
Maintain documentation across departments and be a source of knowledge for project deliverables within functions
Experienced and capable in Project Management methodology and techniques
Being adept in Prince, Agile, or APM which will be most relevant when working with external parties
Experience in delivering a variety of projects for example: office moves, firmwide system installations, new ways of working
Experience in managing change, process and business operations elements of a project
Solid organisation, planning, prioritisation and time-management skills
Working with different teams across the firm
Confident communicator and relationship builder
Experience in a legal practice would be an advantage
Experience across multiple business sectors in a range of Project Manager positions would also be an advantage
