We are now investing in our future by recruiting to a significant number of newly created academic positions as part of our commitment to both delivering excellent teaching and developing early career researchers to contribute to the 2020 Research Excellence Framework.
The successful applicant will contribute to the teaching of our growing undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, will actively participate in programme administration, including course management, undertake some evening and weekend teaching as well as contribute to the School’s research record through publications and knowledge exchange activities.
You will hold a research degree (PhD/ DBA/ MPhil), or be within six months of degree completion; candidates with substantial equivalent professional experience in Events & Cultural Industries Management will be considered. You will also have a record of recent high quality publications in the subject area or demonstrated ability to generate high quality research (e.g. through a degree programme combined with a research plan).
Additionally, you must have good oral and written communication skills with the ability to effectively speak to small and large groups of people. You will also be an excellent team player, with a positive attitude and enthusiasm as well as the ability to work independently. In addition you will have good time management and organizational skills, with the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines. Experience of teaching in a multi-cultural environment is desirable as is familiarity with the UK higher education system. CVs without completed application forms will not be accepted.
