We are retained to secure a natural Sales leader for an awesome British brand leader in the nursery space. You will be a Commercial all rounder, have the natural ability to coach, develop and manage a remote Account Management team and work really closely with the MD on international markets

  • Reporting into the MD, you will be acting as the focal point of the Commercial side of the business. This role will be a combination of Field based travel support the account management team in retail settings, managing their buyer relationships with John Lewis & Mothercare, working internationally to support and grow markets outside of the UK through to managing distributor relationships in the larger international territories.
  • Their Head Office is based in Bedfordshire (probably a 60/40 split).

YOU

  • The challenges you are likely to face will look something like. Continue the excellent work of the previous incumbent. You will receive a rather effective handover and close support from the MD and Heads of Department. However, key challenges will include:
  • Remote Management of International Account Managers
  • Quite a lot of Travel (especially in the beginning of your career in the business)

Developing a relationship with the MD where you can manage up, think outside the box and challenge the status quo!

  • To be successful, you will possess a certain set of skills & experiences. Although we will consider candidates from all backgrounds and Industries, the ideal candidate will look something like:
  • A great depth of Sales Management experience within a B2C focussed Industry (such as FMCG, Toys & Gifting or the Luxury space market)

A strong exposure to P&L control (including budget control, Forecasting and working closely with Finance departments)

A charismatic & self assured personality that has a positive effect on their Direct reports, colleagues and MD. This is a fun yet quirky business, and (despite a lot of businesses say this) the ability to fit in is KEY!

  • THE PACKAGE
  • In return for your commitment, expertise and hard work, you will be very well compensated. Your package will look something like:

A highly competitive basic salary (this can be discussed on a phone call)

A strong bonus structure (you will likely double your basic salary)
