Finance Officer, Southwark
A Client Finance Case Worker is needed in Southwark, there main role will be to sits within the Client Finance teams, in the Personal Budgets and Client Finance Service. The service provides a range of integral back office functions for the council's Adult Social Care department and is required to complete these tasks and processes in a methodical and accurate manner.
Your key duties within the role will include:
*Focusing on contributing to the maximisation of the council's income generation through the application of the council's Fairer Contributions policy.
*Providing the first point of call for any Adult Social Care billing and collection queries.
*Preventing overdue payments by initiating first contact and securing regular payments from the start of service.
*Effectively negotiate and monitor payment plans, identifying which cases require escalation.
*Record and maintain communication records, run/monitor reports, and prepare/gather evidence for legal and/or escalated cases.
*Follow local and national legislation, policies, guidelines and processes for the generation and collection of Adult Social Care income.
The ideal candidate will have:
-Working knowledge of legislative, policy and financial context of adult social care services and the relationship with health services including the importance of equality and diversity and safeguarding
-Experience of adult social care client financial assessment, charging and debt recovery processes and systems
This is a contract to start on the 15/07 and running until 01/10, 36 hours per week. 9am to 5pm
