Research Assistant in Health Services Research




Reference: A4075Description: This post offers an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated researcher to contribute to an NIHR funded trial, which aims to determine the effectiveness, acceptability and cost-effectiveness of the Incredible Years Infant and Toddler parent programmes in enhancing social and emotional wellbeing in children under two. In addition, the post holder will provide general support, data collection, analysis and dissemination for other prestigious health services research projects generated via PenCLAHRC.The Enhancing Social-Emotional Health and Wellbeing in the Early Years (ESEE) trial is a multi-site randomised controlled trial (including an internal pilot) evaluating the Incredible Years parent programmes delivered to parents in different doses proportionate to their level of need. The National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Collaboration for Leadership in Applied Health Research and Care (CLAHRC) for the South West Peninsula - or PenCLAHRC - undertakes high-quality applied health research focused on the needs of patients and supports the translation of research evidence into practice in the NHS.Experience of quantitative & qualitative research methods techniques is required as is the ability to engage with service staff and study participants. A good first degree in a relevant subject is required, along with experience of health services research. Experience of children/family services research will be an advantage.
