1ST/ 2ND Line Support Engineer

The 1st/2nd Line Support role is an exciting and varied role. Your key role will be providing 1st/2nd line technical support for all incoming requests that come in via the telephone or help desk. Support requests can range from helping users manage the simplest of tasks through to tackling infrastructure failures. You will be responsible for ensuring all tickets are responded to within our agreed service levels.

Our client is focusing on Mac centric environments, so expertise in Apple products and solutions is expected. You will also be expected to support and work with other technologies. The list below is not exhaustive but does list some of the more common vendors’ products they support -

macOS Server, iOS, Microsoft Windows / Server and Active Directory, JAMF, Kandji, JumpCloud, Android, Synology, Quantum Storage, Cisco Meraki, Netgear, Draytek, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Adobe CC, Egnyte, Code42, AutoCad, Munki, VMWare, Leased Lines, VoIP, ADSL and FTTC.

The role is customer facing but will mostly be undertaken remotely rather than in person. Technical support and communication will be carried out by using remote technologies, such as VPN, remote access and control software, email, service desk, telephony, and video conferencing.
