We have an exciting opportunity for a Data Analyst to sit within our Supply Chain function at Lodge Way House Northampton. Responsible for generating and developing reporting and dashboard solutions and process improvements, to address the business challenges, delivering optimum performance and usability of reporting. Working with Group BI team to establish or refine data sources for reporting and dashboarding. **Main responsibilities of the role.** - Designing, developing and testing fully automated reports and dashboards solutions using best practice methods, avoiding hard coding and duplication of effort using SQL and apps script programming skills in Google cloud technology establishing process automation where applicable. - Designing, developing and testing new reports and dashboards ensuring optimum usability and performance using Google sheets, Google Data Studio, Google Big Query and other corporate
approved BI tools. - Where capabilities in the approved tools and technologies fall short, the developer will research and investigate industry best practice, keep abreast of product developments, and continue to push boundaries to find workarounds and continuous improvement opportunities that will streamline the reporting development cycle. - Uses monitoring to perform data quality checks on reports to ensure accuracy and integrity of output and KPIs. Proactively conducting root cause analysis and leading the follow up conclusions, then communicating and sharing best practice within the team. - Stakeholder management to ensure MI provided meets the organisations requirements, managing expectations where issues arise and effective management of the problem. - Producing high quality visual analysis including trends, key facts, linking data sets together to identify business operational performance, compliance, utilisation or efficiency savings, ensuring reports are fit for purpose, meet the users needs by completing technical and business UAT, contain user facing glossaries and achieve reporting service level agreements. - Follow work instructions to produce/update business as usual (BAU) reports on a daily/weekly/monthly basis and address feedback/questions and perform root cause analysis where required. It would be great if you had - Relevant professional experience along with professional qualifications in MI and report and dashboard development - Experience within BI Analytics & Report Development - Experience working in Distribution, Fleet management or Transportation - transport planning, route planning or previous experience/knowledge of business data & practices What can we offer you?
