We are looking for a Solutions Architect to join the Land, Logistics and Training Services sector. The role will report to and work closely with the LLTS Project Engineering Manager (PEM) to provide leadership across most aspects of the CADMID cycle. As a Solutions Architect you will be working on bids & proposals helping us to design, develop, integrate, manage and support systems for Training Solutions. Moving to delivery of those programmes, where you will oversee the development team through the detailed design, implementation & integration phases to ensure the design integrity of the solution is maintained throughout the lifecycle.

Understand our customers' challenging needs and acting as a subject matter expert; analysing, preparing and communicating these through the use of architectural methodologies.

Develop complex system architectures and sub-systems and providing evidence of fitness for purpose.

Define architectural designs & technology solutions in support of bids or project delivery.

Take accountability for technical work packages to ensure timely and cost effective delivery of engineering activities.

Inform stakeholders about any problems with the technical solutions being implemented, assisting with the resolution of technical problems as they arise & proposing change where necessary.

Ensure all bidding governance is applied to underpin the engineering estimates and plans.

Work with customers to support delivered systems and resolve issues

Researching current & emerging technologies to influence the strategic direction of our product & solutions development.

You really must have:

Degree level qualification (or equivalent experience) in relevant STEM subject (Engineering/ Physics/ Maths/ Science).
Knowledge and application experience of architecture frameworks.
Knowledge and application experience of Model-Based Systems Engineering, utilising UML & SysML tools.
Knowledge of security standards, processes and application of security enforcing measures.
Broad knowledge of Virtualisation Platforms, storage technologies and enterprise server platforms.
Enterprise Networking & Services (TCP/IP Networks, devices & services).
Understanding of relevant engineering standards (ITIL), including safety and environmental regulations.
Ability to self-manage and establish strong stakeholder relationships.
Ability to deal with ambiguity.
