Tradewind are currently recruiting for a Housing and Employment Coordinator, for a service based in the borough of Camden. The service supports clients who may have complex needs, including substance misuse, to achieve a wide range of education, training, voluntary and employment outcomes.
The role will involve assessing individuals housing needs as well as their employability in order to achieve sustainable outcomes.
The successful candidate will be required to work hours per week, working across Monday - Friday, 9AM - 5PM. However, flexible working may be considered. Cover is required for approximately 3 months, with the possibility of extension.
In this role you will be require to work remotely, however as the project progresses the successful candidate may be expected to travel to different services within London once a week.
In this position, you will be expected to;
Hold a caseload of 15 key clients and conduct regular key working sessions resulting in agreed Support Plans
Provide support through regular 1:1 assessment and goal-focused ETE action planning sessions, as well as through supporting to facilitate a structured programme of employment-focused activities
Oversee an externally funded project which involves managing sign up's and uploading paperwork to an online portal
Work with clients to identify barriers, strengths and goals, with a focus on employability
Enable a smooth transition for clients moving into employment, including brokering directly with employers through employer engagement, as well as including in-work support
Network with ETE providers and employers, providing training and course for clients depending on need. Maintaining existing relationships by effective ongoing communication
Ensure information to be kept accurate and up-to-date and in line with local procedure
To apply for this role, you must have;
A proven track record in achieving targets around employment outcomes
Experience of providing ETE support, guidance and advice to socially excluded groups and an awareness of the barriers to accessing and sustaining ETE activities.
Experience of brokering new opportunities for socially excluded client groups including volunteering and training placements and employment opportunities.
Experience of assessing clients' needs and developing individual, goal-focused action plans with the emphasis on accessing ETE activities.
Experience of planning, facilitating and delivering group work sessions with a focus on employability and confidence building.
Ability to work in partnership with specialist service providers or agencies (. JCP, substance misuse, mental health, offending) in order to ensure clients receive appropriate levels of support
Experience of managing complex and difficult situations in relation to this and other vulnerable client group(s).
Ability to be self-motivating, work under pressure, and manage time effectively.
