Description: Our client has a vibrant university hospital providing the best possible care to a population of 230,000 residents across Great Yarmouth, Lowestoft and Waveney. The Trust employ over 3000 staff and provide a full range of general acute services plus a number of specialised services, with a main hospital boasting circa 500 inpatient beds and a 'good' CQC rating. A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join their professional and multi-disciplinary teams. As a Specialist Renal Dietitian you will be working with the supervision of the Band 7 Renal Dietitian to provide a specialist dietetic service to Low Clearance, Nephrology and Haemodialysis services. This includes the Renal Dialysis Unit, adult renal inpatients and outpatient clinics as required. Additional duties include:

  • To deputise for Band 7 dietitians as agreed and to support Band 5 and other Band 6 dietitians and dietetic assistants
  • Lead on audit, development and writing of clinical policies in own areas of work

Person Specification: We are looking for a candidate that holds a BSc in Nutrition & Dietetics or equivalent, who has current registration with the HCPC with varied experience on clinical placements. Essential is also experience of dietary management within defined specialist area, pre-registration dietetic student training, specialist post-registration clinical experience, and experience in developing and appraising staff.
