Do you have the drive and enthusiasm to take on full class teacher responsibilities for a Year 6 class? Can you ensure relevant progress is made, and learning is accessible and enjoyable for children with additional learning needs including EAL (English as an additional language)?

We are recruiting a Year 6 teacher for a fulltime teaching post to cover an extended sickness absence for a school based on the Preston. The role will start in September until December 2019 and could potentially continue into the new year,

Responsibilities:

  • * The demand for teachers is always high: we expect you to be able to carry out each placement as if it were your own, permanent, class teaching role
    * Organise your classroom to create a positive teaching environment, liaising with relevant teaching assistants and support staff to develop effective working relationships with pupils and colleagues
    * Take on short, medium and longterm planning responsibilities for the class
    * Ensure all work and marking is done in line with the schools policy to facilitate pupil progress and development

Requirements:

  • * Hold a qualification with, or leading to, UK Qualified Teacher Status (NQTs and overseas qualified teachers are welcome to apply)
    * Have a flexible, cando approach
    * Ensure your CV covers the last 10 years of employment history where possible (all employment breaks must be explained)
    * Be subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check and full referencing process
    * Provide professional references to cover you for at least 12 months within the last 2 years
    * Have legal right to work in the UK
