Job Purpose: To lead the development and implementation of key corporate social responsibility initiatives within Berkeley St Joseph, with specific focus early careers and basic HR responsibilities. There is the opportunity to develop the role further in the future to include development of HR strategy and staff engagement initiatives. Responsibilities: HR Administration Conduct Exit Interviews and Collate data on retention and progression rates Administration of employee paperwork ensuring files are up to date and changes communicated to Group Payroll in a timely manner Reviewing annual leave/ sickness levels and other ad-hoc leave ensuring employees provide correct certification Maintaining LMS system and Completing and processing required paperwork for new joiners and leavers (both permanent and temporary) and submitting to Group Payroll in a timely manner Completing and processing required paperwork for earned commissions and submitting to Group Payroll in a timely manner Liaising with line managers regarding new-starter progress during probation Monitoring and recording employee absence and Maintaining current employee details across various systems Coordinating the completion of annual review letters and Completing all other forms and letters as required Take responsibility for both regular and ad-hoc reporting requirements including but not limited to: Weekly People report, Site headcount data for MPR reports Staff headcount, including joiners and leavers, Recruitment forecasting Coordinate the Personal Development Review (PDR) process and record completion stats. Early Careers Report to management team on early careers numbers . apprentices, graduates and industrial placement students Main contact for apprenticeship queries; both directly employed apprentices and apprentices within supply chain Provide monthly input into MPR’s (Monthly Progress Reports), MWA’s (Monthly Workforce Analysis) and Board Reports – Our Vision performance against Berkeley St Josephs and Contractor apprentice and training targets. Organise and deliver on national external initiatives like CITB’s “Open Doors” week, National Careers Week and British Science Week. Work with schools, colleges and universities supporting a range of initiatives to promote industry image and support entry routes into the industry Technical Competencies: Demonstrated experience in a similar administration/ coordination role Self-motivated with a strong ability to work independently and deliver against a work plan Ability to solve problems in a logical manner, and generally remain solutions-focussed even in the face of perceived adversity Demonstrated experience fostering and maintaining productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders Ability to solve practical problems and carry out responsibilities under general supervision Enthusiastic about working in an organised, structured, efficient manner Person Specification: Proactive, self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook Passion for corporate responsibility and keen to deliver exceptional customer service Credible, and comfortable in dealing with a wide variety of stakeholders Team player Empathic communicator, able to see things from the other person's point of view Please note our standard working hours are 8am until Monday to Friday
