If you are you a commercially astute lawyer who is interested in joining a high growth tech firm ( staff) with offices in Belfast and London, we would be very interested in speaking to you.
Working closely with their MD/CEO/CFO you will manage all legal aspects of their business and they are looking for someone who understands their business drivers and what makes them unique. Experience negotiating contracts with software and IP issues is critical, along with the ability to problem solve.
With an attention to detail, you will be able to operate independently, driven by deadlines, be analytical and engaging.
You will be responsible for drafting, evaluating, negotiating, and executing on contracts with leading organisations throughout UK/Europe/Middle East. You will be the key point of contact for their clients on contractual matters , guide them on all areas of law and assure adherence to regulatory and governance requirements.
As General Counsel, you will head up all contractual aspects of the business, so you will be comfortable operating at a senior level . Initially this will be a stand-alone role, so you will be comfortable with managing all legal requirements of the business.
You will also be involved with legal compliance, contract management, process improvement and have some end customer interaction. You will also work with the SMT across other departments including Sales, Product, Marketing and Finance.
Ideally, you will h ave experience working client side with a deep understanding of English Contract law. Experience working with Financial Services /Banking organisations plus International experience would be highly advantageous.
The ability to effectively prior itise your workload will be essential, along with the commercial maturity to understand that priorities may change rapidly based on business needs. T he role will involve limited travel to the London office in the future.
