Shift Manager Driffield £29,000 Per Annum (with annual review) Permanent Position Reporting to the Operations Manager and Production Manager you will manage the efficient and economic operation of all raw and cooked products. To ensure that food safety and quality standards meet specifications and that all staff work safely and efficiently This company is a cooked meats business, producing most meat types in a variety of formats for retail. Operating 7 days a week, a position has opened up for a production shift manager to oversee production. SHIFT PATTERN: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 06:00-18:00 and every other Saturday 06:00-14:00. Shift managers are expected to swap to the opposite shift every 6 months. SALARY: £29,000 pa, with annual review. MAIN DUTIES: 1. Organise and oversee production in both low risk, high risk and boxing departments. 2. To ensure that all production requirements are obtainable and the product is manufactured in the most cost-efficient way 3. Carry out prestart up hygiene and health and safety checks 4. Monitor daily all production process sheets, ensuring all information has been filled in honestly and correctly 5. Liaise with the Logistics Manager daily regarding stock levels and daily desptach requirements 6. Liaise with the Operations Manager and Production Manager and adjust work plans against requirements / availability / despatch 7. Liaise daily with the Operations Manager and Production Manager on production problems and product quality 8. Discuss and resolve labour grievances with the Operations Manager and Production Manager 9. Carry out training in all aspects of processing, cooking, cooling, bagging, metal detection and despatch 10. Daily, when on site will take part in the taste panel assessment 11. Maintain a good level of site security always when on site 12. Ensure that all quality and food safety parameters are met and controlled documents are completed as required 13. Assist in health and safety risk assessments and the implementation of safe working practices throughout the factory 14. Identify training needs of all staff and assist in the delivering of training KEY SKILLS: - Hand on experience in the day to day running of production lines - Experience in carrying out health and safety assessments - Experience in staff training and development - Carry out labour analysis and production line efficiency analysis - Experience in people discipline - Flexibility in working hours Please apply today with your CV and a member of the Frontline Recruitment team will contact you
