An amazing opportunity has arisen at one of our Primary Schools in Southwark for an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant ideally with experience in a classroom setting.
The school are looking for a strong candidate to join their wonderful Key Stage 2 team in a temp to perm position.
The role will involve working 1:1 with a boy in Year 5 who suffers from ADHD and Behaviour difficulties.
He finds it hard to concentrate in class and does tend to be distracting (Although the school speaks very highly of him and his ability to learn).
You will be working and assisting him in his day to day lessons whilst on school premises.
This is a supportive school with a friendly team that are achieving amazing results so they are looking for the right person to work alongside them and this is a standout opportunity for a strong graduate or experienced SEND Teaching Assistant.
An ideal candidate will: · Hold NVQ Level 2 or higher in Child Care or Education (or relevant experience) · Has a strong background working with SEND pupils in a class or non-classroom setting · Have an excellent command of core subjects · Have an understanding of the different roles and policies of a classroom The School: This is a multi-cultural inclusive school, which promotes a safe, caring, challenging and creative environment.
