Elevation Recruitment Group are currently recruiting for a Data Stock Manager for a successful Sheffield based business. This role will require you to work autonomously and as part of a senior management team to analyse stock data collectively for the Group.
Working collaboratively with the Group Stock Purchaser the successful candidate will have worked in a similar role where you have focused in depth on the data around stock levels. You will have a good understanding of SQL ideally be able to write code.
Duties & Responsibilities Include:
- To manage stock in a database driven environment
- Working with SQL principles across a number of programmes and industry specific software products to drive efficiency and minimise redundancy and loss
- To manage group stock across all product areas
- To strike the balance between minimising stock holding at depots and in the warehouse
- Focus on minimising efficiency losses, productivity losses and cost prices losses found through spot purchases or lost sales
- Liaising with and managing the stock flow between suppliers and depots . returns and product / supplier switches etc
- Responsible for the maintenance, updating and deleting of all electronic stock files in the group to ensure data accuracy
- Responsible for other stock related electronic processes such as automated pricing models and building of supplier terms within the system
- Reporting back on successes and losses to senior management
- Identifying issues and suggesting solutions in new or existing processes
The suitable candidate will be able to demonstrate the following Key Competencies:
- At least 2 years experience in a similar role
- Understanding and experience of using SQL
- Confidence to analyse and constructively challenge existing business processes
- Ability to communicate effectively, negotiate when needed and influence key decisions
- Have a keen eye for detail and capability of delivering a high level of accuracy
- Strong time management and organisational skills
- Have a data analytical mindset and an affinity for problem solving
- Strong leadership and management skills
