Equipment Project Engineer




Orion Group are recruiting for an Equipment Project Engineer on behalf of our Multinational Medical Devices Client on an initial 12 month contract which is based in Limerick.Provide engineering support in developing new or improving existing equipment and/or process related activitiesPrimary Tasks and ResponsibilitiesDefine or assist in defining process equipment requirements and specifications based on process requirements, safety requirements and customer needsPerform project management tasks for small to medium scale projects involving either new or existing equipmentAssist in determining the budget to support requirementsEvaluate or assist in evaluating technology necessary to support requirementsPropose options to Management/Customer/StakeholdersProvide technical support for projectsSupport and/or develop and execute equipment or process related validations in accordance with IML requirements, processes and proceduresAssist in negotiation with equipment suppliersUtilise necessary project tools, i.e. URS, Microsoft Project, etc. to manage projects successfullyDevelop the necessary equipment, process and product knowledge to be recognised as a local expert.Measure/evaluate equipment efficiencies, downtime and assist in the development of maintenanceRequirements Propose and implement improvement projects that improve compliance, improve efficiencies, yields or throughputsDefine root cause and implement solutions to equipment and process related non-conformances utilising the NCMR and CAPA 3-5 years' experience in a similar technical Other Skills, Experience and EducationRelevant Engineering Degree or equivalent experienceMinimum of 1 years' experience in a technical positionTechnical leadershipAdvanced technical degreeLeadership skills and technical skillsAbility to organise medium complexity technical issuesAbility to work effectively in a changing environmentKnowledge of company safety standardsKnowledge of equipment and process validation and documentation procedures and processesExcellent communication and presentation skillsResults orientated, completes tasksConscientious, self-directed and motivatedProven problem solverOrganised and results orientatedAbility to take ownershipDevelop good working relationships across the businessAbility to motivate and lead - must be team orientatedHonest, open, flexible approachPrior experience in a GMP or medical device manufacturing environmentPrior experience in equipment and process validation activitiesProcess development experienceEquipment conceptual skillsExperience of bespoke capital equipment Our role in supporting diversity and inclusionAs an international workforce business, we are committed to sourcing personnel that reflects the diversity and values of our client base but also that of Orion Group.
