Quality Engineer / Quality Assurance Engineer – 12 month Fixed Term Contract

Quality Engineer / Quality Assurance Engineer required to join an industry leading manufacturer based in Runcorn. The Quality Engineer will evaluate, progress & close warranty claims as well as ensuring that finished goods meet specification and customer expectations.

Role

Liaise with customers to gather warranty claim information and manage the successful closure of claims

Participation in FMEAs and other tools in the advanced quality planning (APQP)

Coordinate PPAPs with OEMs and suppliers

To support goods inward and parts inspection

Maintain record systems and lead quality audits. Identify, implement, and maintain systems

Ensuring that finished goods meet specification

Monitoring compliance of quality procedures

Identify root causes

Identify improvement opportunities in internal quality

Complete production line audits
Visit UK & European based customers (when required, as a back-up to the existing service Technician)

Commutable to Runcorn

Requirements

Experience as a Quality Engineer / Quality Assurance Engineer or a similar Quality Assurance position

Technical qualification or Degree qualified in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Quality Assurance, Automotive Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or similar

Experience in a manufacturing environment

Knowledge of mechanical components

Knowledge of ISO 9001

Experience of PPAP or APQP would be beneficial

Commutable to Runcorn

Willingness to travel to customer & supplier sites both UK & Internationally
