TrainsPeople currently has a vacancy for a Track Safety Trainer based at either our West Horndon or Clapham Training Centres. This is a very rewarding and multifaceted role with one of the UK's most successful Rail Training Organisations. We have over 300 courses and delivered 280,000 hours of training in 2019. We can hire on a permanent, part-time or associate basis.

The purpose of this position is to create and deliver high quality classroom based and practical technical training to rail industry engineers and apprentices.

The courses are delivered at our special purpose technical training schools in Clapham, Crewe and West Horndon in Essex or at client site location across the UK.

Required Qualifications and Skills:
*Experienced in delivering Sentinel Track Safety courses (we can supplement with additional training)
*Be comfortable managing and presenting to a classroom of up to 12 'keen to learn' rail engineers and apprentices
*Be an excellent communicator, both written and verbal
*Be able to create occasional training collateral when required
*Have 3 years UK Rail industry experience, not necessarily all in training
*Ideally have an NVQ level 3 (or higher) training qualification
*Ideally be within commuting distance of one of our southern based training centres in Clapham or West Horndon, Essex
*Be willing and able to travel to client locations across the UK to deliver training and assessment

Key Duties:

*Deliver training and assessment events on time and to the required standard
*Review, develop and maintain training materials ensuring currency, accuracy and relevance
*Be responsible for the 'on the day' management and delivery of student training and assessment
*Ensure that training delivery is to the required high-quality standards and is delivered within budget
*Assist occasionally the Business Development function in developing new client training solutions and proposals as required
*Ensure day to day administration is maintained according to procedure
*Comply with all procedures relating to our Quality Management and ensure that systems are updated accordingly
*Act as an ambassador for the Company
