Leonard Cheshire disability are looking for Support Workers to work with our service users at our care home The Manor in Huntingdon. This role is part time at 27hrs a week (4 days).
As a Support Worker you will be providing care and support for our residents with physical disabilities, be that going out and about in the community, activities within the home and helping with personal care.
Whilst previous experience in care work or support would be helpful it is not necessary, we provide training and qualifications, all you need is a passion for supporting others.

The Manor in Huntingdon is a 22 bed residential home for adults with physical disabilities. The home is in a lovely, easy to get to location with plenty of activities in the local area that our residents get involved in.
We try to be as flexible as possible around the needs of our service users. (home name) works on a shift pattern, the rota includes every other weekend:
Early 07:15-14:30
Late 14:15-.

Some of the duties you will be performing as a Support Worker include
To support customers with their physical care, personal hygiene needs and daily life tasks & skills as required by their person-centred plan (PCP), ensuring that their independence is preserved and developed as far as possible and affording appropriate levels of privacy and dignity.
Where required, to escort and assist disabled people both in and around the Service setting, as well as to accompany them to other external events and appointments in the wider community.
To help disabled people with mobility and other physical or sensory disabilities and to assist in the use of support aids and personal equipment.
