Great opportunity for a Production Engineer with excellent knowledge of best manufacturing practice and improvement. The individual will have a successful track record of change implementation and demonstrate a thorough understanding of process and systematic improvement.

Customer complaint / root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions.
Implementation of and maintenance of quality control procedures.
Factory quality improvement.
Supplier quality improvement.
Good understanding of the need for measurement and Costs
Costing calculations for new sales enquiries.
Product costing actual vs budget.
Variance (labour and materials) improvements
Analysis of and optimisation of working methods and workflows.
Productivity measurement and improvement.
Perform process control to improve.
Improvement in machine uptime and overall equipment improvements
New machine implementation (specification, justification, installation)
Machine optimisation including the use of jigs and tooling.
Diagnosis of machine performance and systematic machine improvement Material change
Phased implementation considering current inventory and customer layouts and process flow analysis
The importance of how to lay out a factory.
Workflow analysis and definition, documentation, and data management
Establish standard operating procedures.
Automation of shop floor data collection.
Visual management implementation.
Provide regular reports regarding factory performance (daily, weekly, monthly)Profile
In order to be considered as the Production Engineer you will need to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
Ideally Degree qualified in engineering or science degree or equivalent.
You will need to demonstrate a successful track record gained in a Production/Process/Manufacturing Engineering type role.
Good knowledge of manufacturing improvement tools and techniques including root cause analysis.
Understanding of engineering documentation.
Safe working practises in a manufacturing environment to ensure personal safety and the safety of others.
Presence on the shop floor is of paramount importance.
Enterprise Resource Planning tool such as SAP.
Good communication skills (verbal and written)
Able to work on multiple tasks with varying priorities.
Self-motivated ("can do attitude") and able to work in a team / multiple teams.
