We are now recruiting for a Temporary Accommodation Welfare Officer to help deliver an excellent service to residents seeking asylum for temporary accommodation within hotels.
This is a really varied role that would suit someone who is comfortable working on their own, making decisions and using their initiative.
You'l need to have a high level of interpersonal skills, the credibility to build positive relationships with both colleagues and residents and the energy and enthusiasm needed to deliver a great service.
You will need to establish effective communication between management and workers in order to resolve swiftly any and all differences between employer and employee or within the employees to develop the relationship.
To work for the betterment of the employees.
Carry out pre-arranged wellbeing checks with customers which would be flexible, either phone or personal contact and could be at the customers home, or local community hub.
Ensure that any contact with customers which raises concerns, or shows deterioration in either health or independence must be discussed with Operations Manager Work with both the employee and employer to ensure healthy and safe work environment for the employee.
Duties like this include, improving facilities& services like, medical, drinking water, canteen, toilet, rest area, child care room etc and informing workers of their rights like wages, overtime rates, leaves etc.
And communicate and ensure with management that workers are getting these services and benefits properly.
To ensure that workers grievances if any are addressed and communicated to the management.
Safeguarding Officer To teach and train new workers about their rights, privileges and benefits.
Identify from your customer base the need for aids and adaptions and make appropriate referrals Increase community acceptance of customers who are socially excluded, overcoming the problem of them being labelled, devalued and isolated Efficient and effective partnership working both internally and externally.
Ability to prepare and interpret documentation and write clear and concise reports.
Able to demonstrate strong problem solving, investigative and analytical skills and the ability to apply them to client's circumstances Ability to motivate, influence and support other officers to achieve targets Ability to relate to clients who are often facing stressful circumstances Demonstrates and understanding of diversity issues and how this how this relates to the client group.
