If you're a People and Talent Partner with a solid background in HR and Recruitment and want to make your mark in a newly created role, we'd love to get talking

Your role and responsibilities will be supporting our Senior People Partner to hire, manage, engage and retain our employees.

Day to day:

Dealing with ad hoc employee relations issues which may also include advising around performance management, ensuring managers have an effective process in place, as well as talent management frameworks to manage under performers through a performance improvement plan.
Supporting managers with any disciplinary or grievance cases that may arise. In addition to administration this may include coaching, providing advice, considering best practice and evaluating risk in relation to the best course of action.
Responsible for complete end to end recruitment practice including preparing and placing adverts, role profiles and interview scripts. Coaching and supporting line managers in interviews through to offer stage, providing a proactive service to hiring managers.
Helping to drive our Direct Hiring Strategy and building a future Talent Pool
Building line manager capability by providing a coaching role to the line managers to ensure that individual performance levels are achieved ensuring consistency of approach, providing guidance and support where appropriate.
Involvement in projects or implementing HR/People strategies as required.
Develop, review and update policies & procedures, staff handbook and onboarding plans
Support Learning and Development on site or remotely, ensuring training is well delivered and meets business and individual needs, including assisting managers with the creation of new training documents.

Additional Information

We are currently working Remotely but you will be required to come to the office in Reading regularly post lockdown.

Essential Skills

Experience, knowledge and skills desired

Proven experience in working in an HR/People role
Ideally CIPD level 5 or working towards or evidence of work experience
Proven hiring and end to end recruitment experience
Problem-solving attitude
Great attention to detail
Hands-on experience with Human Resources Information Software (HRIS)Desired Skills

Management of HRIS and Applicant Tracking Systems
