About The Role CIQUHP New opportunity for a Safety and Risk Researcher to play a key delivery role to external customers. The role will require an enthusiastic candidate who is experienced in safety and risk management, including development and implementation of safety systems, risk assessment, risk evaluation and the development and implementation of cost effective control measures. The risk management team provides innovative risk management solutions and advice to a wide range of customers across the field of transportation, including autonomous vehicle and HGV platooning trials. Key Duties / Responsibilities The role will involve Developing safety cases for autonomous vehicle trials Developing and delivering risk assessments as required (including GG104) Assisting in the development of safety systems including setting standards and working practices and writing operational guidance. Skills & Experience Practical knowledge of risk assessment, risk management and safety management systems Creativity in identifying how client's technical needs can be resolved Self-motivation, being able to both lead and work as a member of a team Track record in working co-operatively, with a proven ability to manage internal and external stakeholders Willingness to travel on international assignments. Qualifications A good degree and strong educational background A PhD or MSc level qualification in a related area would be highly desirable.
