Technical Commercial Trainee

We are looking for a Technical Commercial Trainee who is looking to take their first steps into a long and rewarding career. Within this job role you will take the time to learn your surroundings whilst working on real projects that will help to drive our business forward alongside learning about the day to day running of a successful business.
Based in Redditch, we have been established since 1974 and have been in continuous business under one ownership ever since, with our manufacturing and warehouse base in the Midlands we are ideally suited to service and support all national, local and international customers.
As part of the training involved in this job role you will learn and actively contribute to producing technical drawings and data sheets as well as liaising with our customers on their technical requirements and much more. Commercially you will get to know our customer base and develop the skills to effectively service them on top of learning how to manage different aspects when it comes to the running of the business. Initially you will follow a structured agenda designed to integrate you into the team, learning the ins and outs of the business and the people that make it tick.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Act as a key member of the team, assisting throughout the operation to meet the goals of the business
- Produce and maintain technical drawings, data sheets and wiring diagrams (training provided)
- Act as the main point of contact for our customers on technical enquiries
- Assist in the day to day operation of a busy sales office
- Be a conscientious member of the team, supporting, motivating and encouraging others, teamwork is fundamental to this job role
