We are recruiting for a Contract Management Specialist to join our global Procurement team. Reporting to the Head of Procurement you will own ongoing negotiation of contractual terms and conditions to support our teams to minimize operational risk in engaging 3rd party suppliers. You will also work closely with internal stakeholders including Information Security, Privacy and Legal teams to ensure all actions are taken in line with business standards.

Other responsibilities include;

Evaluate all contractual documents and data processing agreements ensuring that they are legally binding and in accordance with Assurant standards. Where required seek specialist input including Information Security, Privacy and Legal.
Lead supplier negotiations to agree mutually agreeable contract terms, ensuring the functional stakeholder is always engaged and kept up to date.
Ensure all supplier contracts are constructed in line with Assurant standards and adequately minimize operational risk to Assurant.
Partner with our Legal team to ensure that any Assurant client obligations are negotiated into the contract terms for each supplier and any identified risks or disciplines are adequately mitigated and included
Ensure any risk acceptance of non-standard terms in contracts is formally documented and approved.

You will have the following skills;

Degree qualified or equivalent in a business-related subject, and CIPS qualified.
Demonstrable expertise in commercial contract management with knowledge of current and legally binding contract language and terminology
Minimum of 5-years experience in a similar role, ideally in Financial Services
Proven ability to mark-up contract documents and negotiate terms and conditions in line with Assurant policies and regulatory standards.
Demonstrable expertise across Indirect Spend categories including IT, Telecoms’, Outsourcing, Marketing and Facilities Management
Proven track record and experience of working in a procurement management team
