Tradewind are recruiting! Are you a SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a new role in Manchester?
I am currently recruiting for a confident teaching assistant to work in the specialist SEN unit of a secondary academy in South Manchester for a full time role from as soon as possible.
The role is offered initially on a temporary basis but may become a permanent appointment.
This is a full time, long term supply role, paying up to £100 a day.
Teaching Assistant supporting teaching and learning in the SEN support unit of a secondary school specialising in supporting children with social emotional mental health
Five days a week - to
The role will be based in the school's unit for students with EHCPs
Students spend 50% of their time in the unit and 50% in the main school
The Unit is to provide a safe learning environment where students can learn with support and develop independent study skills.
The TA will be
Supporting students on a 1 to 1 basis or in small groups.
Supporting teenagers with literacy and numeracy and general subject knowledge
Supporting teenagers with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties
Supporting teenagers with mental health needs and anxiety
Work collaboratively with other member of the SEN team, senior leaders, heads of departments, parents and carers, social workers and other members of the child's multidisciplinary team.

To join us and be successful in this TA role, you will need to:
Have a minimum of six weeks' experience of working with children aged 11 to 16 supported by references
This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional references checks
Provide a CV with 10 years of employment/education history included and any employment breaks must be explained
Have the legal right to work in the UK
Bachelor's degree or teaching assistant qualifications
