Chalk Education are working with a school in Salford to recruit an examinations officer for an OFSTED rated "Good" school.

You will be working for one of the largest trusts with 52 academies nationally and 12 international hubs across the world.

This is a temporary role for 12 months, but may lead to further opportunities in 2022 as the trust is growing its regional capacity in this area.

You will be responsible for the development, production and analysis of pupil attainment data for monitoring and tracking student progress and to act as Examinations Officer for the Academy.

Main Tasks

To use BROMCOM administration computer system for the reliable, accurate and up to date records of student attainment data.

To organise the collection and inputting of assessment data in line with the whole school assessment policy including the production of reports to parents

To populate and produce reports and analysis.

Submitting National Curriculum Test results to the exam boards and reporting same to parents.

Administer school CENSUS data.

To provide data to inform target setting at all levels

Analysis of: Cognitive Ability Test results SATs results GCSE/AS/BTEC/GNVQ results Comparative FFT/internal data Compilation & coordination of data on Year 6/7 Departmental data including question level analysis of examinations Trust-wide exam series.

Administration of new admission/leavers

Importing new intake personal details into BROMCOM

Maintenance of students’ academic records and personal records

Creation of reports, lists, statistics as requested

Creating and sending CTFs to other school and importing same for new admissions

To use BROMCOM administration system for timetabling, including making group changes when requested and producing class lists

To support the behaviour data lead to collate behaviour reports for Form Tutors, Pastoral Leaders, Heads of Department and senior leaders.

To manage the electronic aspects of exam entry at KS3 and KS4 including BTEC.

Input exam entries into computerised system and submit entries for external exams to awarding bodies

Allocate and maintain candidate numbers for students

Assist in the downloading of base data from Examination Boards’ websites into appropriate examinations software with the support of the ICT Manager

Coordinate collection/submission of predicted grades, coursework marks and coursework samples for examination boards

Make all arrangements for students to take examinations in accordance with examination board regulations

Coordinate all internal and external exams including exam timetabling.

To resolve exam clashes where appropriate and in line with awarding body regulations

Liaise with Examination Boards for all administration, enquiries and procedures

Liaising with the SENCO regarding students needing special access arrangements, modified scripts, special considerations for the students with special educational needs

To produce, update where necessary and dispatch notes of guidance, timetables and other statutory information regarding exams to all staff candidates and parents.

Administration of invigilators, exam venues and exam paper storage

Support in the recruitment, training and timetabling of exam invigilators.

To produce seating plans and make invigilators aware of students requiring special considerations.

To prepare each exam room including provision of required signage and appropriate equipment throughout the exam seasons

To ensure completed scripts are checked against registers, packed and dispatched correctly.

Assist the ICT Manager in downloading exam results and provide analyses of results

To administer the receipt, distribution and analysis of examinations.

Administration of remarks/re-sits/special considerations

Responsible for the Examinations cost centre.

To undertake relevant training.

To share First Aid provision.

To cover for absent colleagues as necessary.

Any other duties of an equal nature appropriate to the post as may be determined by the Principal and in consultation with the Postholder.

X Appropriate academic qualifications to at least GCSE standard or the ability to demonstrate literacy and numerical competency through proven experience

X High Level of IT knowledge

X Wide experience of IT systems, software and their application

X Excellent communication skills

X Ability to think 'strategically'

X Commitment to safeguarding

X Enhanced DBS check or willingness to undergo one


X Degree in a mathematical based course

X Excel related certification

X Experience of line managing other members of staff

X Experience of using Bromcom as a school based MIS
