Everything we do comes back to people - whether that's providing a good quality, safe home, helping someone to live an independent life, addressing social injustice and equality and everything else in between.<br><br>Our vision for GreenSquareAccord is to be an organisation where people can enjoy happiness, health and prosperity.<br><br>About The Job<br><br>We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and committed Senior Support Worker to manage housing related support to homeless ex-offenders within the Birmingham Scheme.<br><br>The post is based in our Selly Oak accommodation project. The primary purpose of the role is to reduce re-offending by delivering interventions within a residential and community based setting. You will have supervisory/first line management responsibilities for 5 staff managing and developing Support Workers, liaising closely with local statutory agencies.<br><br>In essence we deliver person centred support packages to our clients to resettle them back into the Community; leading to fulfilled lives and improved life choices; reducing re-offending to sustain safer communities<br><br>Our clients have a diverse range of support needs therefore it is an essential element of this role that you have experience and relevant knowledge of the needs of ex-offenders and how these needs can be met.<br><br>We need someone who is confident to work within a small team providing leadership in driving an effective, efficient and quality service. You will be proficient in using Microsoft Office packages and maintaining accurate written records.<br><br>This post requires someone who is committed to the services we provide as you may need to work unsociable hours on occasions, including weekends. You should also be fully aware of the importance of confidentiality and requirements for data protection.<br><br>No two days are the same in this role which is what makes it so enjoyable. Please read through the job description for more information. The post holder will be expected to be part of an on-call rota which will include weekends and bank holidays.
