Maternity contract 12 - 18 Months

An opportunity to join a global market leader in the off-shore engineering sector supporting clients operating in oil & gas, renewable power & utilities and telecommunications.

The position would suit an individual with extensive experience in the Marine or Energy insurance arena.
The objectives of the position will be to maximise the benefit of the Group's Insurance policies through effective negotiations with Brokers and be able to place adequate and review current insurances for marine projects, and for the Group's corporate Insurances.

Duties & responsibilities

Ensure the procurement of most cost effective, efficient and broadest insurance cover in place for all its Marine and Non-Marine Insurance policies.
Review complex insurance policies and highlight areas where there may be unnecessary exposure.
Establish and maintain relationships with existing Brokers to obtain best in class Insurance provisions for Marine Insurances on Projects
Ensure that all insurance claims are very promptly and effectively processed, negotiated and closed to a high standard
Ensure that appropriate insurance management guidelines, processes and procedures are in place and maintained.
Assist in the Contract review of Insurances Clauses and attend Client meetings where Insurances are being discussed and addressed
Identify any Project risks and mitigations to those risks as they arise of at both acquisition and executional stages within Projects and assist in researching the best insurance solution for the further development of new projects.

Skills& Experience
Demonstrable experience within marine or energy Insurance.
The ability to review and negotiate complex insurance policies in order to mitigate exposing the Group to unacceptable risk.
Ability to cope with pressure of working to tight deadlines, strong co-ordination and time management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills combined with the ability to develop long term relationships with internal / external customers, suppliers and internal/external stakeholders across the Group.
