Sales administrator

Mainline Employment are currently recruiting for a part time, school hour friendly Sales Administrator to work in a small and friendly office on a maternity cover fixed term contract. The role will be to start as soon as possible with an interview and then a trial shift process. We are looking for committed candidates who are able to work for the full contract. You will have a six month hand over and then begin on the maternity cover.

Main duties;

  • Communicating with customers on the telephone, advising them on products and prices
  • Updating customers over the phone on the process of their order and expected delivery time
  • Updating and creating excel spreadsheets
  • Processing orders
  • Inputting orders onto Sage
  • General administration duties

Skills required;

  • Experience using/inputting into Sage would be highly desirable
  • Strong (yet not advanced) knowledge of excel - including formulas and being able to navigate a spreadsheet
  • Strong verbal and written communications
  • Knowledge of the office package (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Previous experience in a similar role required


  • Monday to Thursday 9am - 2pm Friday 9am- 12.45pm (will be flexible on hours for the right time)


  • £9.23 - £10.25 per hour


  • This will be a maternity cover fixed term contract of 1 year
